Title: Turn Your Home Party Into An Infomercial

Infomercials Sell Products
By Deb Bixler All Right Reserved

Your home party should include all the key selling tools that infomercials use so effectively. Have you ever watched an infomercial and had the compulsion to buy the product even thought you have no use for it? Infomercials are really good at creating desire and therefore they are really good at selling products.

1. Product Knowledge: You do not have to know it all perfectly, just be sure you have learned the product information found in your use and care guidelines for the products you are showing.
2. Repetition: Repeat the important things over and over. Talk about the most valuable products at least three times. Your most valuable products are your collections that create desire, your opportunity to host a show and the opportunity to create an additional stream of income. I recommend sprinkling about the opportunities at least 20 times each.
3. Testimonials: Get your guests to talk about the products.
4. Sidekick: Who is your side kick? The loud mouth, the past host, the current host or anyone who presents themselves.
5. Urgency: Monthly specials, seasonal products, change of catalog (discontinued items) can all create a sense of urgency. You can also create a sense of urgency with your word choices.
6. The Wow Factor: Wow! I can’t believe it my self!! Using exciting word choices and being excited about your product and services brings in the wow factor. Your side kick can also assist in this area if she/he is someone who just loves your product line!

Take some time to watch infomercials so you can take advantage of this powerful tool to increase your show sales.

7 Tips to be an Effective Direct Sales Leader

7 Tips to be an Effective Direct Sales Leader
By: Chris Carroll
All rights reserved

In direct sales there are always opportunities to become a leader of
other people. Sometimes known as down line or recruits, they become a
part of our team. Sometimes leaders feel compelled to become
responsible for their teams overall performance. They fret and
sweat and break their own backs to try and make others successful.
Giving others leads and recruits to boost their numbers. Finding
new customers to place orders to keep the sales where they need to
be. Basically doing everything to support anothers business in order to
make yours successful, to get that extra bonus check or promotion.

But my question is Has It Been Worth It?

If you have been doing so much work for others, have you been able to
keep your business where it should be or could be?

And if the other rep is not as compelled as you are to be successful and
quits their business in a few months, you have just lost everything you
put into that other persons business.

I would suggest that you take the time to step back and look at your
business and how much you actually do for others and maybe look at
some tough questions and alternatives.

* Are you helping or hindering that other persons business?
* Are they going to be able to learn and grow their own without your
help someday?
* Interview your new potential people. Do they have experience in
sales? How much are you going to have to help?
* Learn when to let go and let them fly
* Lead by example and they can copy You
* Give them the tools and the expectations and they can be successful
if they want to.
* Know that some will and some won’t. Don’t take it personally.
* Know that they have to have the drive inside but you can inspire it.

Blog Action Day 2008 – Poverty

3

Category : General Stuff

Today is Blog Action day. It marks a day where millions of people across the world unite in posting about a cause close to their heart. This year, it is poverty.

Poverty surrounds us all, whether we see it or not. We have the homeless, some choose it, most do not. We have the working poor, who are lucky to get one meal on the table each day. We have the millions around the world that we try and feed as well. What is in your town? How can you help?

Personally, I work with a non profit that is teaming up with others in our town to run huge food drives to try and get food to those that are hungry. We have churches that feed kids during the summer. We have groups that feed the elderly and the homeless.

But what about jobs and income that are important to keep poverty away? I can only pray for our leaders that they will find a way to keep jobs coming to this area and that those that are in need can find a job. It is a circle that can be influenced by us, one way or another.

What can you do for your neighbor?

Unique Business Cards

Category : Biz Tips

Business cards are the life blood of a direct seller or Anyone in business in order to market themselves effectively. But have you used your business card to really set yourself apart? Chances are that when you are talking with someone and hand them your business card, is it stuffed in a pocket and we hope that it is filed in a roloadex. But it could be tossed. Let’s increase the chances of our business card from being the one chunked in the trash.

One idea, especially for women, is to dress up your card. Add a small ribbon or some tulle. What about scrapbooking paper on the back or a decorative sticker on the front? Something that ties into your business. If you are selling makeup, a sticker or stamp of red lips would be cute on the front. If you are sellling cleaning supplies, find something unique like a feather from a duster or something. I have also seen cards placed into little cello bags with samples of their products with them.

Another idea is to use the back of your card. Place an ad on the back or a calendar or something of value. People tend to hang on to cards that have a value to them.

When you are handing out your card, make sure you hand it to the recipient with the back side up, so they do see the offer on the back and they have to flip the card to see who you are, increasing the chances of remembering you.

These are just a few good ideas to get your creative juices flowing. Let’s see what you can come up with.

Websites for Direct Sales Downlines

Category : Biz Tips

I know that DS companies sometimes have problems getting websites up for their new reps especially if they are a new or small company. Alot of companies may require a fee to pay for it or not offer anything at all because of the cost involved with sites.

Now you do have an alternative. An Affordable one too!
Downline Sites for Success
Downline Sites
The Alternative to replicated websites, perfect fast sites for MLM and Direct Sales downline.

The whole thing is thought out to balance the need for fast, affordable sites, that meet the requirements of the distributorship company, with the need for personalized sites that are search engine indexable, and which are expandable according to the dreams of the individual business owner. Certainly it won’t work for every company, but it will for many, especially new ones.

They can be started by a direct sales company, OR, by an individual distributor who just wants to give their downline the edge by providing an extra tool for them to use.

What an awesome tool! Laura Wheeler is the brain child with Firelight Web Studio and she is a fabulous designer of sites and a blog guru as well. I am very excited for her and her new site for us direct sellers and /or distributors that want to really use the web the way it should be.

Check it out at Downline Sites and contact Laura with any questions you have for your team or company.
